Reviews of Sevenoaks District Council’s Housing Department

I came across these reviews of Sevenoaks District Council’s Housing Department on Google Maps. These reviews highlight residents’ experiences and frustrations with the system. These accounts provide valuable insight into how the housing department handles communication and support. It raises critical questions about its responsiveness and professionalism.

“If I could do no stars it would be exactly that! This morning I enquired about my housing application, which I’ve had no communication about whatsoever. The woman I spoke to was very disgraceful! I was stressing the fact how am I supposed to know I need to send in certain evidences without them communicating with me? Then she said goodbye and hung up the phone. Highly rude and very unprofessional! You’ll all be better trying to get housed under a different council.”

This review sheds light on some of the frustrations people experience when navigating housing applications. It raises important questions about communication and professionalism within public services.

“I am a vulnerable adult with additional needs who is also homeless. They don’t care if you’re severely disabled or not. I ask to speak to the housing manager and the answer is always ‘they’ll call you back,’ but they never do. These guys are a bunch of neglectful people who don’t care about their applicants’/tenants’ well-being. Don’t bother with these guys—they are as useless as they come. If there was an option for a rating below 0, I would gladly do a -5 stars.”

Unresolved Individual Grievances

It is good practice for any organization, including the Sevenoaks District Council, to actively address one-star reviews and engage with the individuals who leave them. Responding to negative feedback in a timely and constructive manner demonstrates a commitment to improvement and accountability. A thoughtful reply to reviews like this one can help rebuild trust by showing that the council takes concerns seriously and values the experiences of its residents. Such engagement not only resolves individual grievances but also signals to the broader community that the organization prioritizes transparency and is willing to make meaningful changes.

This Woman Shared her frustrations year after year ǀ Sevenoaks Council did not respond

Unfortunately, this poor woman shared her frustrations year after year, yet the council did not respond to her reviews. This lack of engagement raises further questions about the council’s accountability and commitment to the well-being of the vulnerable people they serve. Ignoring such public feedback perpetuates mistrust and undermines the very purpose of public service.

The issues raised—such as lack of communication, unresponsiveness, and neglect of individuals—remain relevant today. They reflect systemic problems that deserve attention and action.
